Before you start
A waterplay listing does not mean the sprays are running today. The current outdoor-facility page individually labels all five parks closed. Its seasonal window also differs slightly from a more general parks-system summary, so this specialist status page is the source used here.
Choose a shared play site rather than an outdoor swimming-pool session. The city says spray and splash spaces are for children and parents. King George/Cambie and Steveston have separately documented inclusive waterplay features; those are described below without promising that every feature serves every access need.

Rules and exceptions
- Dogs are not permitted on splash or waterplay areas, even when the surrounding park has a separate off-leash zone.
- Extreme dry weather can trigger water restrictions and temporary shutdowns within the summer season.
- The outdoor page displays a 9 a.m.-9 p.m. hours label within the waterplay list, but does not clearly assign it to every named site. Verify the individual park rather than extending the label to all five.
- King George/Cambie’s waterplay area is south of the parking lot off Cambie Road, with flush rubber surfacing and button-activated sprays.
- Steveston’s waterplay lists a continuous paved surface and button-activated elements. These descriptions come from the inclusive-play page.
