Before you start
Compare the pool shape and features before choosing a facility. Steveston lists a 25-metre six-lane pool, a shallow tot pool, a three-metre slide and bleachers. South Arm lists a large heated free-form pool, two twisting/looping slides, a three-metre slide, a wading pool and a nearby picnic area.
No next-season opening date, swim session, admission price or accessibility guarantee is invented here. The closed-for-season notice is current. Use the city Schedules and Fees service when a new timetable is published and contact the individual pool for specific needs.

Rules and exceptions
- Steveston’s community-centre redevelopment changes site navigation and parking arrangements. The pool page directs visitors to the current Steveston construction information.
- A shallow or wading pool is a listed amenity, not a claim that children may swim unsupervised. Follow the pool’s current admission and supervision rules.
- For swim lessons, the city’s aquatic-programme page requires the correct prerequisites and forbids a new class start before the existing class ends. That is separate from choosing an outdoor drop-in facility.
- The outdoor page also lists five waterplay parks. Those are a separate shared-space service, not part of the two paid/admission pool facilities.
