Zastre & Co. is seeking a Managing Director, Capital Advisory, to personally win advisory mandates, lead senior client relationships and take M&A and private capital transactions through closing. Our initial focus is one experienced originator with a demonstrated record of converting relationships into signed, fee-paying engagements.
This is a Vancouver-based, on-site opportunity. Compensation is commission-only: engagement-fee commissions and participation in completed-transaction fees. There is no base salary or draw. Please consider this structure and your ability to work from our Vancouver office before applying.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Develop relationships with business owners, buyers, investors and lenders, and identify evidence-backed sale, acquisition and financing needs.
- Personally qualify opportunities, lead discovery and convert suitable prospects into signed advisory mandates and paid engagements.
- Own the client relationship and lead mandate execution, including preparation, buyer/investor/lender outreach, diligence, negotiation and closing coordination.
- Direct the team supporting your transactions and maintain clear ownership, priorities and client communication.
THE EXPERIENCE WE WANT TO UNDERSTAND
Your background may include M&A advisory, investment banking, private credit, corporate or commercial banking, or another relevant advisory practice. We value evidence of your own commercial and transaction contribution over title alone.
Be ready to discuss specific engagements you personally won: how you developed the relationship, your role in securing the signed mandate, whether the engagement fee was paid, and what you personally owned through execution and closing. Clearly distinguish your contribution from your employer’s or team’s overall transaction record.
Established owner and capital-provider relationships are valuable. Any opportunities you could develop through Zastre & Co. must be appropriately portable and consistent with your existing obligations. Do not share confidential client information or restricted materials.
