Original job description

About Lime Law

Lime Law Corporation is a boutique law firm serving clients across the Lower Mainland in real estate, private mortgage lending, corporate and commercial work, and estate planning. We run a modern, paperless practice built on Clio and other legal tech, and we serve a large Persian-speaking client base. We also give back: we take on pro bono files, offer reduced rates to nonprofits and people who need the help, and put in volunteer hours in the community. We’re moving into a new office in North Vancouver, and we’re looking for someone to grow with us.

The role

This is a full-time, on-site position in North Vancouver. You’ll be the person who keeps the office running and keeps our clients informed. Day to day, you will:

Answer and return phone calls and emails, in English and Farsi
Follow up with clients to collect documents, confirm appointments, and keep files moving
Follow up with opposing parties, opposing counsel, lenders, realtors, and other offices on outstanding items
Sort, scan, label, and file documents so everything lives where it should
Keep the calendar, deadlines, and task lists organized
Do bank runs, courier drop-offs, and other errands
Help with billing and data entry in Clio
Spot ways to make the office run better and speak up about them

What we need

Fluent, polished English and Farsi - written and spoken. This is mandatory. Most of our clients speak Farsi, and every letter, email, and phone call represents the firm.
Strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail
A friendly, professional phone manner and the persistence to follow up until something gets done
Comfort with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe) and a willingness to learn new tools
Discretion with confidential information
Reliability, and the ability to walk to banks

Nice to have

Experience with Clio - a big plus
Prior experience in a law office, notary office, or real estate or mortgage brokerage
A legal assistant or paralegal certificate or diploma
Familiarity with basic legal terminology or BC conveyancing
