What you will be doing as Housekeeping Supervisor
- Leading the Housekeeping Department to create a team that maintains cleanliness of the hostel so that we provide a presentable, comfortable place to all.
- Hiring and training for housekeeping staff.
- Staff scheduling and submitting payroll information.
- Ordering and maintaining linen, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping equipment.
- Staffing and ordering all breakfast supplies.
- Administering performance/compensation reviews on time documenting any performance-related incidents.
- Resolving conflict in the workplace as it arises and maintains a comfortable and safe work environment.
- Oversee the cleaning of all guestrooms efficiently and effectively to ensure they are ready for the next guest to occupy.
- Create cleaning schedules to ensure that all common areas, washrooms, hallways, floors, and showers are clean.
- Staff activities for the housekeeping team
- Work closely with maintenance and front desk team to ensure the property is in perfect order.
What we look for
- Previous Housekeeping experience.
- Supervisor or experience leading a team is an asset, but not a requirement. This is a great position to develop supervisory skills. Full training will be provided.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong Organization and Communication skills.
- A passion for making work fun and thrive on efficiency.
- First Aid Certificate and WHMIS training an asset, or willingness to get it.
