Original job description

About Velora Wellness

Velora brings wellness into the workday. We run short, accessible movement, chair yoga and breathwork sessions inside offices, and at company events, so employees don’t have to leave work to take care of themselves. Our instructors have led sessions for teams at IBM, CIBC, McKinsey & Company, Groupe Contex and Ronald McDonald House.

We’re looking for yoga instructors who want to teach the people who maybe never walked into a studio: desk workers in a boardroom, a team before a town hall, employees at a company offsite. Sessions run 10 to 60 minutes, seated or active.

Every session follows a simple Velora shape and you have the freedom to make the session your own.

What you’ll do:

Lead in-person movement, chair yoga and breathwork sessions at client offices and events across Greater Vancouver.
Read the room and adapt: beginners, different mobility levels, tight spaces, people in work clothes.
Keep it practical and approachable, focused on how people feel at work (tight shoulders, long hours at a desk, stress before a big meeting).
Invite participants to complete a one-minute feedback survey before they leave.

What we’re looking for:

2+ years of yoga teaching experience
Yoga teaching certification
Current first aid and CPR
Confident, warm presence in professional and corporate settings
Able to travel to sites across Greater Vancouver
Your own liability insurance (highly preferred)
Bonus: open to the occasional early-morning (6 AM) session

Pay and schedule:

Independent contractor, on-call
$100 per session for 10–15 minute sessions
$150 per session for 30–60 minute sessions

Sessions are booked as client demand comes in, so work will be occasional to start. Our goal is to grow Vancouver into steady corporate work, and our instructors grow with it.
